Josh designs the BGFA menu


Josh Eggleton, Michelin star chef of the fabulous Pony and Trap and Great British Menu star has revealed the delicious menu he has designed for the Bristol Good Food Awards’ glittering ceremony evening at Ashton Gate on November 13.

The meal will start with mackerel, lightly smoked with a blowtorched crispy skin and served with a delicious, earthy red cabbage fluid gel and fresh herbs.

This will be followed by loin of red deer venison, mushrooms, burnt onion and onion puree, parsley and red wine jus.

The meal will be finished with a very simple cheese cake, with a biscuity base, caramel top and served with popcorn and white chocolate.

The BGFA team was treated to an exclusive tasting of the menu, cooked by Josh at the Pony and Trap and we can reveal that it is absolutely stunning.

Better news is that Josh has not just designed the menu for this amazing evening – he will also be donning his whites and cooking the meal, too.
